Merlex Exterior Stucco is a premium quality portland cement based color coat finish material specifically intended for use as a decorative finish over properly prepared portland cement based substrates. It is a proprietary formulation of portland cements, hydrated lime, graded aggregates, mineral oxide pigments, and specific additives.

Santa Barbara Finish Color Coat Stucco
Merlex Santa Barbara Finish Exterior Stucco is a premium quality portland cement based color coat finish material designed to achieve a smoother texture reminiscent of the many historical buildings in the Santa Barbara area. It is a proprietary formulation of portland cements, hydrated lime, graded aggregates, mineral oxide pigments, and specific additives.

MERLEX BASEX
Merlex BASEX is specifically designed for application over brown coat where smooth-troweled finishes are used (such as Santa Barbara Finish). When mesh is embedded in BASEX, cracking is reduced significantly, which allows for higher-quality smooth-troweled finishes. BASEX contains a high percentage of polymer for flexibility, microscopic fibers for crack-resistance, and proprietary additives for workability and working time. The product has suction to ensure good bond between the finish plaster and base coat. BASEX can also be used on rescrubs directly over structurally sound existing plaster, eliminating the need for sandblasting.

Poly Prep
Merlex Poly Prep is a polymer-modified portland cement base material specifically designed for use as a coating and adhesive for architectural EPS foam shapes. It is the ideal base coat for Merlex Stucco Color Coat finishes. Merlex Poly Prep is available in standard grade, premium grade, and Green grade. Standard grade is a proprietary blend of Portland cement, redispersible wet bond copolymers, graded aggregates and specific additives. Premium grade provides added polymer for higher bond strength and flexibility. Green grade makes use of 10% post-industrial recycled content for environmentally sensitive projects.
